Bubblers EXCEL at District 3 2A Swimming and Diving Championships!
DivingBoth boys and girls divers competed 2 weeks ago on Friday, February 21st. All 6 divers placed top 8 and subsequently medaled. Emma Simon (8th), Sarah Dabrowski (6th), Carina Chen (5th) represented the team on the girls side while Yogith Ram (5th), Connor Crouch (3rd), and Preston Kuhn (2nd) dove for the boys. With Connor’s (286.4) and Preston’s (310.15) performances, they automatically qualify for the State Championships held at Bucknell University on March 13th. Boys and Girls Swimming competed at the 2025 District 3 2A swimming championships at C.V Natatorium. The team in total brought 30 members to the District Championships including the 6 divers, the most in the last 17 years.Girl’s SwimmingThe girls started off strong with high finishes in the first session. They were headlined by Irie Graiser’s 100 Fly (3rd), Callie McCann’s 200 I.M (4th), Piper Heyman’s 50 Free (2nd), and both the Medley and 200 Free relays placing 2nd. Girls Wrestlers State Bound!
At Penn Manor this past weekend history was made for Boiling Springs Athletics. In only the second season of the sport officially being sanctioned by the PIAA , Girls Wrestling will be sending their first 2 state qualifiers after their performances at sectionals. Senior Amanda Delevan and Sophomore Emily Dolan both placed 4th out of the field, enough for an official bid for the tournament at the Giant Center in Hershey. Both boys and girls state wrestling individuals will be for their final competition of the 2024-2025 winter season. Go Bubblers! Having three athletes qualify for the State Championship is a testament to the impact of head coach Kyle Dayhoff, recently named Mid Penn Conference Coach of the Year, in his first year. Bocce Crowned Mid Penn Conference Colonial Division Champs!
In Bocce’s short existence in establishment for Mid Penn Conference Championships, Boiling Springs, has made their mark in their division. This season, the “A Team” has gone an impressive 9 - 2, and crowned Mid Penn Conference Colonial Division Champs, the first in the school’s history. Bocce’s “B Team” had a great run this year too with their 6th place finish, barely missing the playoffs. Postseason: Boy's Basketball
The Boys' Basketball team is gearing up for the playoffs after securing a spot in the District III 4A Playoffs for the second consecutive year. They have earned the 7th seed in the rankings, which sets them up for a game against Eastern York on February 20th, giving them a chance to advance to the PIAA State Championship. Under the guidance of coach Brett Sheaffer and led by team captains Caleb Rife and Eli Kimmel, the team has achieved impressive milestones this season. At the beginning of the season, the team won the Paul Corby Tournament by defeating New Oxford, marking their second consecutive tournament win. Additionally, during the season, Brandon Ascione achieved his milestone of 1,000 career points and is committed to continuing his basketball and academic career at Elizabethtown College. Under the coaching of Elwood Kimmel and led by the team’s captains, Molly Kimmel and Mia Hemler, the team has achieved an impressive 18-4 record this season, securing their place in the PIAA District III 4A Championship. They are currently ranked fifth in the power rankings, which gives them a game against Delone Catholic. In addition to their strong record earlier this season, the team won the annual Boiling Springs Alumni Tournament, where Molly was named MVP and Madalynn Weidner earned a spot on the "All-Tournament Team." As of this week, Molly leads the Mid-Penn Girls Basketball Conference in total steals, ranking first among all players. Girl's Cheerleading Heading Down to Nationals
The Girls' Varsity Cheerleading team is set to compete in the UCA National High School Championship this weekend at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This will mark the team's second consecutive appearance in Orlando, Florida. Under the leadership of Coach Cassie Kreiser, Assistant Coach Tiffany Ward, and Captain Nevaeh Davis, the team aims to advance to the second day of competition and qualify for the semi-finals and finals. This winter season has been eventful for the team. Recently, they have achieved significant milestones, including being named Division Champions at the Pennsylvania Game Day Cheer Competition, securing second place at the New Oxford Colonial Classic, and earning their spot in the National Championship. Juniors Longenberger and Scherer Reach Career Milestone
This past Friday and Saturday at the Coal Cracker Wrestling Invitational, two athletes from the Boiling Springs wrestling team, Junior Drew Scherer and Junior Ian Longenberger, hit a major milestone in their careers—each notching their 100th career win. Drew, wrestling at 133 pounds, capped off his performance with a strong 4th-place finish. He was joined by Luke Magnani (127), who earned 6th place, and Alex Menetzer (114), who took 7th. Drew and Ian now join an elite group as the 33rd and 34th wrestlers in Boiling Springs history to achieve this remarkable feat. With three current wrestlers now part of this prestigious club, including senior Luke Magnani, who reached his 100th win earlier this season at the Spring Grove Duals, the Bubblers are making history.
