I would first like to start off by saying that out football team would like to thank the church for allowing us to participate in this event. This was a great opportunity for the team to come together as one, as well as the community as a whole. I speak for my fellow teammates when I say this event is one we mark on our calendars each year, and is also something we will continue to look forward to for years to come.

When the team started serving food, it was easy to sense the surprised feeling each player was overcome with. As more people got in line to be served, I noticed the different variety of family’s that were in attendance. The one thing that stuck out to me was the families with younger children. When participating in an event like this, it can occur to most people as a real eye-opener. I know for me personally, it made me appreciate what I have just by seeing those that aren’t as fortunate. All people in some way, don’t have a clear view of what they have, and may even take it for granted. When we realize how grateful we should be, it can be a beautiful realization.

As a rising senior, this was my last time serving. After participating in this event for the last two years, I would like to continue serving even after my time on the team has come to an end. So again, thank you to everyone who made this possible, and the team looks forward to continuing helping in the community.
