Sanctioning of Girls Varsity Wrestling

• On January 10, 2023, the Girls Wrestling Club was officially sanctioned as an official school sport. They are listed as #91 for Sanction PA. A nonprofit organization working to grow opportunities in the sport of wrestling and to have high school girls wrestling approved as a sanctioned PIAA sport in Pennsylvania. It is expected that Girls Wrestling will be a sanctioned sport by the 2023-2024 school year.

Dawg Duals- Girls Varsity Wrestling picks up first program win

• On Saturday January 21, 2023, the BSHS Girls Wrestling team picked up their first program win. Taking down the Governor Mifflin Mustangs in a 38-20 win

Match at Lebanon-

• On Sunday January 22, 2023, the BSHS Girls Wrestling team headed to Lebanon School District for a tournament. Through many matches, the girls team took 5th place out of 28 different teams. The team also had multiple wrestlers medal during the match. Annika Hoover and Joei Nileski took 1st place finishes and Ellie Shoemaker and Makayla Miller took 3rd place.
