Bubblers Score Hardware at 

Districts and States

With the winter sports season wrapped for Boiling Springs, the Bubblers reflect on their victories at the PIAA District and State Championships. Both Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming and Diving teams took to the Championships alongside the Bubbler Wrestling team.

 

  In the postseason, the Wrestlers took to Districts, Regionals, and States with the desire to bring home the gold. As a team, Boys Varsity Wrestling Finished 3rd in District III 3A Individual Championships and First in the South West 3A Region Sectionals. Individually, the following Wrestlers medaled at Districts in their respective weight classes.

 

District III 3 A Medal Winners

Drew Scherer - 3rd Place

Eli Bounds - 3rd Place

Ean Wilson - 3rd Place

Michael Duggan - 2nd Place

Ian Longenberger - 6th Place

Collin Neal - 6th Place

 

For the Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming and Diving teams, they headed to the District III 2A Championships with confidence. Carrying the momentum they’d had all season long. As a team, the boys team placed 2nd and the girls team placed 3rd among the other 2A teams. Individually, the following swimmers medaled in their personal events and relays.

 

Girls Medals:

 

  • Diving - Brooke Graham - 3rd Place

  • 200 Yard Medley Relay (Haley Lenker, Ella Garman, Makenna Gutshall,and Reese Hays)- 4th Place

  • 200 Yard Freestyle - Jillian Strine - 1st Place

  • 200 Freestyle Relay (Jillian Strine, Reese Hays, Callie McCann, and Maggie Brenner)- 3rd Place

  • 100 Yard Freestyle - Jillian Strine - 1st Place

  • 500 Yard Freestyle - Callie McCann - 8th Place

  • 100 Yard Backstroke - Maggie Brenner

  • 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (Maggie Brenner, Haley Lenker, Callie McCann, and Jillian Strine)- 3rd place

 

Boys Medals:

 

  • 200 Yard Medley Relay (Keegan Williamson, Hunter Kuffa, Ryan Kuffa, and Adian Werner)- 5th Place

  • 200 Yard Freestyle - Keegan Williamson - 3rd Place; Nick Trabucco - 8th Place

  • 200 Yard IM - Braelen Mowe - 1st Place

  • 50 Yard Freestyle - EJ Heyman - 6th Place

  • 100 Yard Butterfly - Braelen Mowe - 1st Place

  • 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (EJ Heyman, Hunter Kuffa, Nick Trabucco, and Braelen Mowe)- 4th Place

  • 500 Yard Freestyle - Keegan Williamson- 4th Place

  • 100 Yard Backstroke - EJ Heyman - 3rd Place

  • 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (EJ Heyman, Nick Trabucco, Keegan Williamson, and Braelen Mowe)- 3rd Place

 

After Districts, the remaining Bubblers made their way to Bucknell University for the PIAA 2A State Championships. The following swimmers medaled in their events.

 

Girls Medals:

 

  • 200 Yard Freestyle - Jillian Strine - 4th Place

  • 100 Yard Freestyle - Jillian Strine - 4th Place 

 

Boys Medals

 

  • 200 Yard IM - Braelen Mowe - 7th Place

  • 100 Yard Butterfly - Braelen Mowe - 5th Place
